I recently watched a storm movie where massive tornadoes ripped through a small town taking lives and causing massive destruction. No, it was not sharknado. The connection I make from the movie to our everyday business is “the calm before the storm” or ” the eye of the storm.” In one scene of the movie the tornado ripped through a building tearing the roof off. The folks in the basement looked up and saw clear sky and quiet. Shortly-there-after the wind, noise and terror came back. They were within the eye of the storm.
An organization can experience a loss or problem then thinking it is over let their guard down to only be caught off guard by another issue or problem. Proper pro-active planning is key to live through the “storm.”
